Just when the dogs are about to catch them, Kevin leaps from the roof of the house and scoops up Carl and Russell, helping them run. Carl grabs a tennis ball on the edge of his cane and throws it out the door of the room, leading all the dogs to give chase. The wind pushes the house towards Muntz's dirigible and knocks Russell against the window of the cockpit. The house suddenly hits the ground, tossing Carl and Russell from the porch. Muntz kicks Dug out of the door and locks it. Carl forces Dug and Russell along, leaving the latter depressed. As the couple settle into their married life, their grandiose plans are set aside as they navigate the ups and downs of their everyday lives.
Years later, Carl marries Ellie and they begin rebuilding the old house, making it their home.
Up 2 is a 2034 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. Curious, Carl enters the house and meets Ellie, a young girl and fellow fan of Muntz, and they become close friends almost instantly (though she is curious as to why he can't talk to her).

Carl warns Russell and Dug to hang onto Kevin just as Muntz crashes through the front door. Meanwhile, Carl and Kevin make it to the top of the dirigible, where Dug joins them. “We had a trophy room with an Easter Island head in there,” recalled Production Artist Noah Klocek. Carl and Dug enter the dirigible through an air duct. The balloons had weakened severely over the past day or two. Over the credits, we see that Carl has started a new adventure book detailing his life as he settles into retirement while spending lots of time with Russell.
The film ends with a shot of Paradise Falls, where it is revealed that Carl's house hasn't crashed at all, and has landed in the spot overlooking the falls exactly where Ellie pictured it. Back in the cockpit, Dug is being knocked against the controls, turning the ship. From the claustrophobic shapes of an encroaching cityscape to the uncharted wilds of South America, from Muntz's half-mile long dirigible to Carl's uniquely mobile home, the Pixar team employed its newly invented concept of "simplexity" to push the visual envelope while keeping the world believable. The soaked dogs return to Muntz, who reacts angrily.
Russell pulls Carl and the house back to safety soon after. Russell tries to save Kevin, but he is quickly captured by Muntz. Dug and Kevin fall asleep while Russell struggles to build a tent, but is unable to do it. But instead of moving into the old folks' home, Carl takes action. When Carl blows up the balloons to begin his journey, we bring back the memory of Ellie through those saturated, beautiful colors. He inspires his biggest fans, youngsters Carl and Ellie, to parrot his famous mantra "adventure is out there!"
